Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize reductions in thicknesses due to erosion of heating surfaces as well as lives of heat pipes in a heat pipe group substantially by effecting heat exchange under rotatably supporting the heat pipes bundled in a shape of column.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft 9, 9 for a rotar, securing a plurality of heat pipes 7 between end plates 6, 6 in a shape of column, is supported by bearings 10, 10. The rotar is surrounded by a sealing wall 8 so that high temperature gas and low temperature gas are never mixed. Heat exchange is effected between the high temperature gas flowing through ducts 1, 3 and the low temperature gas flowing through ducts 2, 4 through the heat pipes 7. If the shaft 9 is rotated normally or temporarily, reductions in thicknesses due to erosion of the heat pipes 7 will never be biased to a part of them and lives of the heat pipes 7 may be equalized substantially.
