Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat a part of the interior of a livestock house effectively, economically, and cleanly by a method wherein an infrared negative pressure combustor, which comprises a blower and combustion chambers incorporating a burner and connected by a heating pipe, is arranged at a desired height in the livestock house.
CONSTITUTION: In an infrared negative pressure combustor 1, a combustible gas and primary air A are fed into combustion chambers 2 by developing a negative pressure in a heating pipe 4 by a blower 5, and the mixture gas of the primary air and combustible gas is fed to burners 3 for ignition and combustion. The combustion gas heats the pipe 4 and exchanges heat with the outside air; simultaneously, infrared rays are radiated by a radient paint coated on the pipe 4, to heat the space outside the combustor. The combustor 1 is disposed at a desired height in a livestock house B, and a reflecting plate 6 is arranged above the combustor 1. The discharge port 7 of the blower 5 is communicated with the exterior of the house B through an exhaust pipe 8, and a secondary air introduction pipe 9 is extended downward from the base end on suction side of the pipe 4. Thus, the interior of the house B is heated.
