Abstract

PURPOSE:To perfectly regenerate the waste water containing the anions containing heavy metals which has been adsorbed with heavy metal oxide anions by beforehand contacting the waste water with chelate type ion exchange resins adsorbed with Al or specific heavy metals, by using a strong basic thick aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:From the industrial waste water containing anions of heavy metal oxides such as of As, Cr, V, Se, Fe and Cd, these heavy metal anions are removed. Here, the chelate type ion exchange resins having been adsorbed with Al ion or heavy metals of element number 21 or over, particularly ions of Fe are contacted with the waste water having been controlled to 2 or more in pH, whereby the anions of the above-mentioned heavy metal oxides are adsorbed. To remove these and regenerate the exchange resins, the resins are washed with 1-4 normal solution of strong basic materials such as NaOH or Ca(OH)2, by which only the anions are perfectly eliminated without eliminating Al and Fe ions, and the resins are perfectly regenerated.
