Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the even coating on the substrate having undulations easy and achieve the reduction in the using amount of paint by providing an adjusting valve stem which changes coating conditions and controlling this by the operating amount of the trigger of the coating gun.
CONSTITUTION: An adjusting valve stem 7 which is operated by a trigger 2 is installed to the electrostatic powder coating gun comprising providing a diffuser 3 composed of insulation type material at the end on the axial line of a solid-air mixing channel pipe 5 and disposing a gas channel pipe 4 attached with a needle- form electrode 17 to change coating conditions. More specifically, a DC high voltage generator 10 and powder transporting compressed air flow operate in the position where the operating amount of the trigger 2 is smallest. After this, a paint feeder 11 operates to inject charged powder particles in bar-form atomized state. Next, when the trigger 21 is pulled further, the compressed air for paint atomization pressure-regulated by an air regulator 13 is introduced and is injected from the gas channel pipe 4 and the hole 16 of the diffuser 3 to diffuse the solid-air mixed flow advancing straightforward in the coating gun 1, whereby the coating of a wide paint atomization width is accomplished.
