Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an accurate analog output by changing a digital signal into a digital word showing its amplitude before D/A conversion.
CONSTITUTION: Before being led to D/A converter 16, input digital signal 2A is changed into digital word signal 2B expressing its amplitude through the totalization of totalizer 14. This signal is D/A-converted into step-shaped analog signal 2C, which is differentiated by differentiator 18 to obtain pulse signal 2D. Here, according to the Nyquist logic, accurate analog conversion is possible only when a signal with pulse width zero is inputted to a low-pass filter. Therefore, accurate analog signal 2E appears at the output of low-pass filter 20. If differentiator 18 would operate improperly, the order of low-pass filter 20 and differentiator 18 is changed, so that the distortion of the filter can be avoided.
