Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the final NOx eliminating ratio up to over 90% which is obtained denitrification method by a system wherein soot containing combustion gas is brought into a reduction chamber and NOx reduction is conducted by soot.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion by a smaller quantity of air than a theoretical quantity is conducted in a combustion chamber 1 and the combustion gas is introduced into a reduction chamber 2 through a combustion gas pipe 4. Since the reduction chamber 2 has been heated previously by an electric furnace 3 at 500W1200°C, NOx is reduced by the soot contained in the gas while it runs through this chamber and the residual NOx is decreased down to about 10%. The reduced gas is brought to a recombustion chamber through a pipe 5, a filter 6.
