Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of light emitting efficiency of discharging lamp under low temperature, by arranging a resistive heating film while contacting tightly with outer wall of discharging tube.
CONSTITUTION: Resistive heating member 3 is coated in stripe as liquid or semi- solid pre-heater on the outer circumference of glass tube along the tube axis, while electrodes 4a, 4b are provided at both ends of said heating member 3. When supplying pre-heating current through lead wires 7a, 7b to said resistive heating member 3, it produces heat and directly heats the outer tube to emit sufficient light even under low outer temperature.
