Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain type body having excellent properties in terms of mass productivity, light weight and wear resistance by processing and treating cold-rolled stainless steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: Cold-rolled stainless steel plate is punched by a press and processed into a disk. This disk is selectively etched by photographic etching technique to obtain type body 4 consisting of bearing 1, support bar 2 and type base plate 3. Then heat treatment is applied to the type bodies by piling several tens under pressure. Following this process, type part is chromium-plated to obtain a completed type body. Because of it being made of stainless steel, the type body is light weight like plastic product and highly durable.
