Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary two-dimensional pattern at a high speed by reading a stored original two-dimensional pattern by scanning at a fixed angle in a horizontal direction and then by scanning at a fixed angle in a vertical direction, reading and storing it.
CONSTITUTION: Scan addresses of memory 100 where an original two-dimensional pattern is written are set to row and column address counters 110 and 130. Dividing ratios of row and column divider circuits 120 and 140 are set to (m) and one respectively and while counters 110 and 130 are brought under control, memory 100 is scanned and read horizontally along slanting scanning lines according to the dividing ratio to write data in memory 200. Data are written in memory 200 along horizontal scanning lines by row and column divider circuits 220 and 240. Next, dividing ratios of circuits 220 and 240 are set to one and (m) from memory 200 to read a conversion two-dimensional pattern along slanting scanning lines in the vertical direction and they are written in pattern memory 300 along vertical scanning lines. Therefore, the rotary two-dimensional pattern can be obtained at a high speed without arithmetic.
