Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an uniform heating of rubber etc. and shorten the time for vulcanizing to obtain a link molded product by a method wherein a plastic flowing raw rubber material preheated in a storing chamber is guided into a molding cavity under an intermittent heating by an electric resistance heater being installed in a flow passage.
CONSTITUTION: Green rubber fed from a hopper 3 is mixed and plasticised in a plasticizing cylinder 1, then its specified volume is flowed into an injection chamber 6 and injected under a pressure from the nozzle 9 in reference to an injection order. A temperature of the green rubber at each of the steps is kept at a specified temperature having a small range not generating any vulcanization for a short priod of time by an operation of a temperature adjusting device. The raw material fed out from the nozzle 9 is passed through a passage 24 in the cavity structure 12, 13 via bushing 11. During this passage, the material is directly contacted with a thin plate heater applied to the inner surface of the passage 24, removes Joule heat of the heater, increases its temperature rapidly up to a desired vulcanizing temperature, passes through the two projections 16, 16' into the cavity 18' in the mold substantially kept at the same temperature, and rapidly makes a vulcanized and cured condition.
