Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform judgement of the quality of corrosion protective covering with ease and high accuracy by measuring and calculating the polarization resistance of the corrosion protective covering.
CONSTITUTION: At the division calculation circuit 6, a current distribution ratio is memorized thru the differential amplifier 4 which works by the flow potential and non-flow potential (which are being measured by the reference electrode 1 installed close to the pipe plate made of copper alloy located within the water chamber of the condenser made of copper alloy, etc.) at the time of flow and non- flow of potential of the corrosion protective current applied on the water chamber. On the other hand, voltage drop for the current flow is measured by the shunt resistor 3 which is inserted in the electric current of the corrosion protective circuit, and the measured value is mathematically divided by the value of the flow current which is calibrated by the distribution ratio at the circuit 6. Thru the procedure, resistance value per polarization unit, which makes a criterion of judgement for the quality of the corrosion protective covering, is directly obtained by reading the resistance meter. Subsequently, judgement of the quality of the corrosion protective covering can be performed with ease and high accuracy.
