Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the operation for the registration control by detecting the side band wave component contained in the output of the signal mixer circuit and then detecting the registration control error of the solid state pickup element out of the side band wave component.
CONSTITUTION: Plural picture elements are arranged horizontally and vertically to solid state pickup elements 21R, 21G and 21B each. Then the sampling is given to each picture element between a certain solid state pickup element and other pickup element at the position shifted by one picture element and with every 2nd picture element via sampling circuits 31A, 31B and 31C each. Here signal mixer circuit 33 is used to mix up the signals of each pickup tube which are obtained through sampling, and the side band wave component contained in the mixture output signal sent from circuit 33 is detected 38. Then the registration control error circuit 33 is detected 38. Then the registration control error of the solid state pickup element is detected out of the side band wave component via circuit 38. In such way, the registration control can be simplified.
