Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce the laminated polarizing film of superior heat resistance and bending resistance by bonding a polyene-base polarizing film and a sheet by means of a thermocontact-bondable film.
CONSTITUTION: A polyene-base polarizing film 1 such as the film obtained by desorbing hydrogen halide from a halogenated vinyl-base polymer and uniaxially stretching the same and a sheet (acrylic-base resin sheet, glass or the like) 2 are laminated by way of a thermocontact-bondable film 3 such as acrylic-base polymer film and the laminate is thermocontact-bonded at about 80W150°C, 1.5W100kg/cm2 to produce the laminated polarizing film. It is preferable to use the above-mentioned thermocontact-bondable film or sheet of about 70% or more in the transmittance in the visible light region of 425mμ or more and about 10% or less in the transmittance at 390W230mμ. Equally good results may be obtained even by bonding the above-mentioned sheet or the like directly to the polarizing film under thermal pressure.
