Abstract
PURPOSE:To readily produce the compound eye device by using blocks of transparent material and light-shieldable materials in the lens used for the projection system of the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:Blocks 112 of transparent material such as acrylic bars formed by injection, casting, etc. are prepared. These are then compression-molded to bar lenses by using the dies 110 of approximately the same diameter as that of bar lenses and the dies 111, 111' having the concave spherical faces of the radius of curvature of the lenses, after which these are inserted into the lens support 113 which is provided with bar-lens insertion holes in the lens disposition positions on the top and bottom surfaces. The positions of the end faces of the respective bar lenses with respect to the optical axis are aligned by a reference table 114, after which the acrylic resin or epoxy resin 115 mixed with black dyes or pigments is injected in the hollow parts of the lens support 113 and ia allowed to set. Thereby, the compound-eye lens device which permits prior checking of the performances of the respective bar lens units and is high in overall optical performance is obtained.
