Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify manufacturing process and prevent the falling-off of active substance and improve the life characteristic by allowing a mat body to be contacted with the both sides of the substratum in which active substance is filled and thermally fusing the mat body and the resinous body of the substratum. CONSTITUTION:A substratum is obtained by allowing the lead base plate 4 obtained through casting to be inserted automatically into resinous body 7 by an automatic fitting machine. Into said substratum, active substance 11 is filled uniformly, and active substance is molded so as to have convex form in the section of the battery plate by an active substance molding machine. After lead sulfate is formed on the surface by a surface processing machine, using dilute sulfuric acid, the sulfate is folded so that the mat body 13 is contacted with the both sides of the substratum by a mat body automatic feeding machine. Then, the resinous body 7 and the mat body 13 are thermally fused by a roller and formed into an united body by a mat binding machine.
