Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic setting of a selected half feeding pitch by cooperatively engaging an adjustment piece with an adjustment member so that an amount of rotation of a rotating piece is always half of an amount of rotation under a non-operative condition.
CONSTITUTION: When an operation knob for a half pitch feeding lever is pushed downwardly, a half pitch operation piece 54 is operated to be engaged with a side surface of a lifting plate 42 and to raise the operation frame lever 33 via a feeding frame. In this case, the lifting plate 42 is not displaced and in turn is moved with respect to the operation frame lever 33, so that the adjustment piece 49 is entered into a rotating area of the rotating piece 36, and the rotating piece 36 terminates its counter-clockwise rotation when it is abutted against the adjustment piece 49. When a half pitch feeding lever is released, a major gear is rotated until the sub-claw 37 is engaged with a stopper. Thus, the feeding claw feeds the platen longitudinally by a half pitch length of the feeding pitch selected by the adjuster means 23.
