Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the clear pattern with deep cut face on the surface of the steel or nonferrous metallic sheet, by passing the raw material under the hot condition through rolls provided with uneven pattern on their surface.
CONSTITUTION: At the finishing pass in the hot rolling process for manufacturing the steel sheet, the surface of the final finishing roll in the hot rolling line for the steel sheet is provided with the uneven pattern of arbitrary desired shape; by employing this roll for rolling the hot rolled steel sheet, the uneven pattern is formed on this steel sheet. Next, thus rolled steel sheet is passed through the straightening rolls in order to be given the specified flatness. The scale sticking on the surface of this steel sheet is removed through the rolling pass, and the iron surface if bared; hereupon; the high temperature use surface treating agent is added to the descaling water in order to apply the rust prevention treatment at the same time with the descaling pass; hereby, the rusting of the steel sheet is prevented.
