Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an injection timing regulating apparatus capable of delaying injection timing at the time of idling operation of engine, by disposing a means for restricting movement of piston in said regulating apparatus toward injection timing delaying direction on the side of said piston where fuel pressure is acted, in the manner that position of said means can be shifted by hydraulic pressure acted at the back of the same.

CONSTITUTION: In cylinder 46 of housing 23, there is provided in freely slidable manner a piston 26 which is adapted for regulating injection timing in proportion to the revolutional speed of engine by changing circumferential direction of roller holder 22 by means of lever 25. On the right side of piston 26, that is, on the opposite side of spring 43, there is provided an injection timing delaying member 48 disposed in contact with the right-side end face of piston 26 for restricting its movement toward injection timing delaying direction. The member 48 is disposed in chamber 51 defined by housings 49 and 50. On the right side of member 48, there is provided a hydraulic oil chamber 52, and an electromagnetic changeover valve 55 is provided in hydraulic oil passage 54. At the time of idling operation of engine, valve 55 is shifted from position I to position II by means of control circuit 56 which is operated by external signal detector 57 so that chamber 52 is communicated to tank R, whereby it is enabled to delay injection timing.
