Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure and improve the efficiency of a hydraulic traveling device, by connecting a hydraulic control pump with a brake cylinder through two external pilot type reduction valves which are actuated, in parallel, with the pressure in passages in accordance with the operation of a hydraulic motor.
CONSTITUTION: Two external pilot type reduction valves 106A, 106B, which are actuated with the pressure in passages 113A, 113B, are set in parallel between a hydraulic control pump 105 and a brake cylinder 103. When a hydraulic 7 revolves above the level required for oil charge while traveling downhill, the pressure in one of the passages, 113A, for example, is reduced, which makes the pressure on the secondary side of the reduction valve 106A lower than that of the other reduction valve 106B and which also makes the pressure in a passage 142 equal to the pressure on the secondary side of the reduction valve 106A. This actuates a brake 102 to prevent the generation of cavitation of the hydraulic motor 107, which eliminates a counterbalancing valve, simplifies the structure and improves the efficiency.
