Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a high-quality bead wire at high production efficiency by providing a forming device of specified constitution having a control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A former 1 having an annular groove 2 on its peripheral surface is so designed that its diameter can be increased and decreased, and is driven to rotate. A guide roller 5 guides a bead wire element W wound around a former 1 into the groove 2. A supporting mechanism consisting of a moving member 8 and the like supports a roller 5 oppositely and close to the groove 2 in such a manner that the roller 5 can slide in the radial and axial directions of the former 1. A hydraulic cylinder 11 moves the roller 5 in the axial direction of the former 1 for each revolution of the former 1. A hydraulic servo-mechanism having a servo valve 30 operates the cylinder 11 by electrical pulse signals. A control circuit comprising a setting program memory circuit unit 22 and a read adjustment circuit unit 23 stores a predetermined program for operating the supporting mechanism, reads the program, and feeds electrical pulse signals to the servo-mechanism to operate the supporting mechanism according to the program.
