Abstract

PURPOSE: Two kinds of acrylic resins with different average polymerization degrees are kneaded in a specific proportion and extruded for molding, thus preventing drawn down and producing title molding material in high extrusion speed with industrial advantage.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt of an acrylic resin of low molecular weight with a polymerization of degree of 1,000W2,000 and (B) 5W50, preferably 10W20 parts of another accylic resin of high molecular weight with a polymerization degree of 4,000W9,000 are melt blended, then extruded to produce said molding material. The polymerization degree is perferably controlled by adjusting the polymerization conditions, especially the concentration of polymerization initiator and the polymerization temperature or the amount of the chain transfer used.
