Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply carry out injection-compression molding by using an injection molding machine having a toggle-pressing type mold tightening means, which molding machine is provided with stoppers on divers therein for maintaining a compression gap at a constant level. CONSTITUTION:A transfer plate 9 is moved toward a fixed plate 10 via a toggle 11 by means of a mold transfer cylinder 13. Transfer pieces 4 are attached via springs 3 to a transfer element 2. When the toggle 11 is fully extended, a parting surface 5 is pressed by the transfer pieces 4 owing to the elastic forces of the springs 3 to seal a molding space and maintain a compression gap d1. When an injection operation is conducted by using this mold, the parting surface 5, to which an injection pressure is applied, is prevented from moving away from the transfer pieces 4, by position controllable stoppers 15 mounted on those portions of divers 12 which are behind a cylinder box 16. As a result, the compression gap is retained to a predetermined width. The transfer element 2 is then compressed against a cavity 6 by a mold tightening cylinder 14 to effect injection-compression molding.
