Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to measure ammoniacal nitrogen with easy maintenance and stably for a long time as an On-line instrument, by adding NH3 standard solution to the water to be tested and adjusting the amount of dilute air so that the partial pressure of NH3 detected through air injection is made equal.
CONSTITUTION: The water to be inspected is introduced to the gas and liquid contact section 7 via the pump P3 and the electromagnetic valve V2, alkali is injected with the pump P1, and the pH of the inspected water is adjusted so that it is over 11. A given volume of air F0 is introduced with the pump P4, the partial pressure μ0 of NH3 in the exhaust gas is detected with the NH3 detection section 2, and it is stored in the sample hold circuit 3. Next, NH3 standard solution is injected by a given amount, simultaneously dilute air is introduced to the side b of the electromagnetic valve V3, and NH3 partial pressure μ in the exhaust gas diluted is measured.
