Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the simple mechanism of the simple constitution capable of performing multicolor development by radiating light images onto a photoconductor by way of the filters corresponding to developing colors and forming the latent images respectively corresponding to the developing colors on the photoconductor.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary plate 21 is disposed with a filter 23a which transmits red light in correspondence to the developing color of black, a filter 23b which transmits the complementary color of red in correspondence to the developing color of red and a filter 23c which transmits light of the entire visible spectral region, in the positions trisecting the circumference. When the copying images of the original 1 are going to be copied in two colors of red and black, the filter 23a is interposed in the optical system path at the first scanning and the development of black toner by the first developing device 9 is performed. At the second scanning, the filter 23b is interposed in the optical system path and the development of red toner by the second developing device 10 is performed. These toner images are transferred to recording paper with a transfer device 11.
