Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement in the adhesiveness and production yield of the composite material by applying plating for oxidation prevention on base metal surfaces, covering the same with atmosphere-oxygen-consuming material then pouring mating material through atmosphere controlling by burning.
CONSTITUTION: Plating 2 such as Ni which is stable to oxidative atmosphere is applied on the base metal 1 surfaces of carbon steel, etc. and a frame 3 is mounted to the four sides of the mating face with mating material. Material such as chaff 4 which decreases the oxidation characteristic of the atmosphere when burnt is sprayed and a cover 5 is put on. After the base metal 1 of this state is soaked with a heating furnace or the like, mating material such as molten stainless steel is poured while the base metal 1 is being moved. After allowing the material to cool, the chaff 4 having deposited on the mating material surface is removed and the material is soaked and hot rolled, whereby the specified clad plate is obtained.
