Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the sticking and propagation of microbes on cell window by forming the thin layer of the specific oil on the inside surface of the cell window.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 5 which is composed of elastic material such as of Viton rubber, whose sectional face shape is square and has a notch part 6 at part of the lower half and which is so formed as to be vertically movable while the bottom end edge of the bent tongue form part 7 of the lower part is making light contact with the inside surface of the inside wall surface of a guide barrel 9 and a cell window 4 or maintaining a state slightly apart therefrom, is provided in the guide barrel 9 integral with the flow cell body 1 and a fluid feed pipe 10 is so provided that the bottom end part positions in the notch part 6 through the guide hole 11 provided to the plunger 5. If with this arrangement an oil such as silicone oil or grease which does not chemically react with sample liquid and prevents sticking of microbes such as bacteria is supplied within the notch part 6 through the fluid feed pipe 10 and the plunger 5 is vertically moved, the thin layer of the oil is formed on the inside surface of the cell window 4.
