Abstract

PURPOSE: To inspect the surface of object by means of a photoelectric output by providing a pair of slit-shaped photocell the electric output of which is differentially formed so that the surface of object is imaged on the photocell through a optical system.
CONSTITUTION: A pencil of light rays 2 is applied to the object 1, images are formed on the slit-shaped photocells 4, 4' arranged perpendicularly to the moving direction of object. Both the photocells are parallel to each other and respective areas are the same, their outputs 6, 7 are fed to the differential amplifier 8, and when its difference signal output becomes a fixed value or more, a warning is given by a buzzer.
