Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically correct the position shift with delay of 1/2H of video signal or not delay, when the shift of 1/2H delay is produced at the position of the horizontal synchronizing signal at playback, in the reproducing unit recording and reproducing the signal for one track's share at each head and having a plurality of heads.
CONSTITUTION: The signal from the video heads 3a, 3b are converted into continuous signal via the selector switch 5. The selection circuit 9 selects the 1/2H delay circuit 8 and the amplifier 6. The signal from the luminance demodulation circuit 11 is separated for the horizontal synchronizing signal with the synchronizing signal separation and wave shape circuit 14. The 2fH signal generating circuit 15 outputs the signal in about twice the horizontal frequency at the phase independent of the phase of output signal of the circuit 14. The circuit 16 frequency-divides the signal of the circuit 15 into 1/2. Accordingly, if the position of the horizontal synchronizing signal of output video signal of the selection circuit 9 is shifted, this is detected at the comparison circuit 17 to select the selection circuit 9 and correct the shift.
