Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized large capacity winding with low eddy current loss by use of a winding which is constructed by disposing a radially extending thin conductor at an inside portion with high leakage flux density and arranging a thick conductor on an outside portion of low flux density.
CONSTITUTION: A winding is constructed by a combination of an inside conductor 10 cylindrically formed by use of a thin conductor as a low-voltage large current winding and outside conductors 11, 12 which are shorter in length in an axial direction, but thicker than that of the inside conductor 10. The outside conductors 11, 12 are coaxially arranged with respect to the inside conductor 10. At this juncture, the winding starts with the portion A corresponding to one end of the outside conductor 11, and after having been wound by one turn up to the end portion C which in turn is connected to the start portion D of the inside conductor 10. The end portion E of the inside conductor 10 is connected to the start portion F of the outside conductor 12 whose end portion is designated as B. The inside conductor 10 is arranged at the inside portion of high leakage flux density and the outside portion of low leakage flux density, thereby reducing an eddy current loss and minimizing the size of transformer.
