Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a short-circuit failure of the cell and a deterioration of the cell characteristic, by using an aluminum foil, to both faces of which a synthetic resin is coated, for the housing unit that encloses a generating element of the cell.
CONSTITUTION: On terminal plates 1, 1' consisting of metallic thin plates, is constructed a carbon film 2, and on top of this, are provided a positive pole 3, applied a coating mainly of manganese dioxide, and a negative pole 5, consisting of zinc thin plate, respectively, and between this positive pole 3 and negative pole 5 is interposed a separator 4, in which elctrolyte is impregnated and held, to construct a layer-built cell generating element.
