Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the deviations between the heating temperature of steel plates and target temperature by making combination use of a direct fire type heating furnace of faster heat response speed and an indirect heating furnace of slower heat response speed and chainging the inlet plate temperature of the indirect heating frunace through the utilization of the fasteness of the heat rsponsiveness of the direct fire type heating furnace at the time of performing continuous annealing of the steel plate. CONSTITUTION:The steel plate 9 to be heated is passed through a direct fire type heating furnace 8 of faster heat response speed and an indirect heating furnace 7 of slower heat response speed and is thereby heated, to which a plate temperature control unit 10 is used in combination. When the thickness of the steel plate 9 being heated increases from H1-H2, the pass speed of the steel plate 9 is lowered from V1 down to V2 at the inlet of the indirect heating furnace 7 and the furnace temperature of the indirect furnace 7 is raised from Tf0-Tf1. In this case, a deviation C occurs transiently in the outlet temperature of the indirect furnace 7 and therefore the temperature deviation C is compensated by changing the temperature of the steel plate at the outlet of the direct fire furnace 8 by the furnace temperaature control unit 2 and speed control unit 3 of the plate temperature control unit 10, whereby the steel plate 9 is taken out always at the intended temperature.
