Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a reasonable step insulation having a good adhesivity by employing wire insulating coverage having locally varied thickness when a wire is wound in order in the coil axis direction.
CONSTITUTION: A wire 2 on the outer periphery of an insulating cylinder 1 has its leading edge pulled out to form a lead 2a. The wire 2 consists of a bare wire 2e overlapped with a taped insulator 6 to form an insulating coverage, which varies in thickness depending on voltage applying across adjacent layers. The wire 2 starts from the lead 2a and is wound in order along the outer periphery of the cylinder 1, shifting at the end of each layer to the succeeding upper layer to complete a concentric winding with the final end forming the lead 2d. Between each layer of the wire windings 2 are inserted interlayer insulating materials of a uniform thickness and the outmost layer is furnished with an outer peripheral insulation 5.
