Abstract

PURPOSE:To speed up meniscus return and improve frequency response by reducing flow resistance of the passages leading to the nozzles in a multiple type ink injection head comprising a plurality of pressure of chambers, nozzles, and the like. CONSTITUTION:An ink injection head 4 comprises an ink storage chamber 5 and a series of grooves such as ink feed passages 6, pressure chambers 7, ink passages 8, and nozzles 9 formed by etching or the like. In the head 4, ink in the chambers 7 is injected from the nozzles 9 for recording, by the bending action of electromechanical converter elements 10 arranged in the chambers 7. The grooves of the passage 6 and 8 are formed to be deeper than those of the chambers 7 and nozzles 9, to reduce the flow resistance of the passages leading to the nozzles 9.
