Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a nozzle 5 of a spray gun is arranged in front of an object 4 to be painted, a leading end portion 61, 62 of an electrode 6 is arranged within or in the vicinity of an object 4 to be painted and the negative high voltage is applied to the electrode 6 and the object 4 to be painted is charged to positivity. When a powder paint is injected by an air stream from a nozzle 5, because the air in the vicinity of the nozzle 5 is ionized by the electrode 6, the paint is charged negatively and conveyed along a positively charged insulating cover 7 in an axial flow pattern to reach to a curved expanded portion 72 and diffused along the curved surface into an inner surface of the object 4 to be painted, thereafter charged negatively again by the ionized air in the vicinity of the leading end portion 61, 62 of the electrode and adsorbed to various parts of the inner surface of the object 4 to be painted. By heating this adsorbed paint layer at above the melting point thereof, a coating is formed on the surface of the object 4 to be painted.
