Abstract

PURPOSE:To let a laminated type photoreceptor maintain always good chargeability and photosensitivity during continuous copying operation by radiating the photoreceptor by the use of the light removed of the light of the wavelength absorbed in the carrier moving layer on a conductor substrate thereby destaticizing the same. CONSTITUTION:Light of the wavelength absorbed to a carrier moving layer 13 is removed with a filter such as of methyl anthrathene or the like. The filter is mounted to a quenching lamp 9. A photoreceptor 1 comprises subsequently laminating a carrier generating layer 12, carrier moving layer 13 on a conductive substrate 11. The cause for light fatigue which degrades the charging characteristics and photosensitivity characteristics of the photoreceptor lies in that the light applied from the quenching lamp 9 is absorbed in the carrier moving layer 13. Hence, by mounting the filter to the qenching lamp 9 and removing absorption wavelength bands, the light fatigue of the photoreceptor may be prevented and good chargeability and photosensitivity may be maintained.
