Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent overheat of an air pump by combining an pre-heating tank utilizing heat of the air pump with an evaporating tank provided with capillaries arranged in parallel at the upper face of the tank, thereby no exhaust discharge system required.
CONSTITUTION: A discharge pipe 4 of a catalytic oxidation type sewage surifier 3 is connected to an evaporating apparatus consisting of a pre-heating tank 1 and an evaporating tank 2. A driving part of an air pump 6 is arranged within the preheating tank 1 in such a manner that the driving part is under sewage. Air for oxidation is supplied to a sewage purifier 3 by means of the air pump 6. The sewage entering the preheating tank 1 is pre-heated by heat generated by the driving part of the air pump 6. The evaporating tank 2 is provided with capillaries 8 arranged in parallel. The upper faces of the capillaries 8 are opened to the atomosphere. When the pre- heated sewage is introduced into the evaporating tank 2, the sewage is sucked up by the capillaries and evaporated into the atomosphere. If necessary, a heater may be arranged within the evaporating tank to ensure the evaporation.
