Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the potential difference between liquids, caused to the reference electrode, by mixing ion pairs not interferring the ion measurement for measurement objective in the tested liquid and the same ions as the said ion pairs also to the inner liquid of the reference electrode.
CONSTITUTION: The reference electrode 8 and the ion electrode 3 are immersed to the tested liquid 2 to measure the ion concentration in the tested liquid from the potential difference caused on each electrode. In this case, the ion pairs not interferring the measurement of measurement objective ions are mixed much in the tested liquid 2 than the measuring objective ions in the tested liquid 2, and the said ion pairs are mixed to the inner liquid 10 of the reference electrode with the same concentration as the mixed concentration to the tested liquid.
