CONSTITUTION:After the rotation of a rotary body 3 caused by driving a DC motor 12 is stopped, the rotary body is slowly rotated by an indexing motor 15. The position of the rotary body 3 is detected by an absolute encoder 18. The detected position R1 and a prescribed indexed position r are applied to a shortcut calculation circuit 26. The direction of rotation of the indexing motor 15 is decided by the calculation circuit.
