Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase apparent sensitivity by decreasing the lowest intensity of an operation electric field by automatically changing gains of an AGC amplifier circuit over by using a diode in a negative feedback circuit. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency signal from an antenna is selected by tuning circuit 1 and converted by mixing oscillation circuit 2 into an intermediate frequency signal, which is amplified by intermediate frequency amplifier circuit 3 and then detected by detection circuit 4. Its detection output is amplified by sound signal amplifier circuit 13 and its alternating-current component is led out from sound signal output terminal 6. The direct-current component, on the other hand, is imputted to AGC amplifier circuit 9 by way of sound-signal removing filter 7. Through the operation of negative feedback circuit 12, AGC amplifier circuit 9 allows output voltage Vin and voltage VAGC of AGC line 8 to bear non-linearity. Namely, when VAGC is high, diode 10 and Zener diode 11 conduct to provide much negative feedback and when Vin is high, only a little negative feedback is provided to the contrary.
