Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible displaying of leaving-behing of the original, suitability of combination of the original and copying paper, etc. by detecting the concidence and non-coincidence of original size signal and paper size signal.
CONSTITUTION: The size of the original on contact glass is detected by light emitting and photo detector pair in the specified positions. On the other hand, the size of the copying paper is detected by the light emitting and photo detector pair in the positions opposing to specified one corner of the copying paper. When the size signals Sa', Sb'..., etc. of thid original are processed in gate circuits to light lamps corresponding to sizes, the original size is displayed. On the other hand, when the respective original size signals Sa', Sb' are processed through the AND gate groups 500, 510, 520 which are controlled of opening by life size signal S0, variable power signals S1, S2, etc. and the AND gate group 530 which is controlled of opening through the AND gate group 540 to which the paper size signals Ca, Cb... are applied, then a transistor Q conducts only when the combination of the orignal and copying paper is adequate and this causes a light L to light, whereby displaying of leaving-behind of the original, suitability of the combination of the original and copying paper, etc. is accomplished.
