Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the cycle characteristic by making the positive pole theoretic capacity of nonaqueous cell having negative pole of Li or Li alloy and positive pole active material showing plural steps of discharging reaction to be predetermined times that of negative pole.
CONSTITUTION: Li or Li alloy is employed as negative pole, while litium perchlorate dissolved in organic solution of propylene carbonate is employed as electrolyte and chargable material showing plural step of discharging reaction such as MoO3, V2O5 is employed as positive pole active material. Here theoretic capacity of said positive pole active material is made two times that of said negative pole. Consequently the discharging of positive pole is limited only to first step discharging reaction, and the charging cycle never causes the reduction of discharging capacity.
