Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool a combustion cylinder, lengthen its lifetime and prevent its corrosion due to dewing, by providing an air passage around the total outside surface of the combustion cylinder, mixing fuel gas with air conducted through the air passage and supplying the mixture to a burner.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture chamber 23 is defined by the burner 22 under the combustion cyliner 21 made of stainless steel. An exhaust hood 25 is attached to the top of the combustion cylinder 21 and coupled with a exhaust pipe 24. The air passage 26 is provided around the entire outside surface of the combustion cylinder 21 and connected with an air feed pipe 28 fitted with a fan 27. A mixing pipe 29, which communicates with the mixture chamber 23, is connected to the end of the air passage opposite the air feed pipe. A gas pipe 30 is opened into the mixing pipe. A finned heat exchanger 33 is installed in the upper part of the combustion cylinder 21.
