Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce desired patterns very easily on an iris layer having a beam reflection film, an interferential resin film and a semitransparent metal thin film in a manner ideal for labeling and use for advertising boards by empossing the portion to obtain a pattern thereon in a specified condition.
CONSTITUTION: An iris layer having a semitransparent metal thin film, an interferential resin film 3 and a beam reflection film 4 laminated in sequence is so arranged on a molding such as transparent film that the semitransparent metal thin film 2 is positioned in the viewing direction as indicated by the arrow with the beam reflection film 4 opposite thereto. The desired portion A1 to be given a pattern on the iris layer A is embossed to be finely tongued and grooved as desired. Thus, a molding with an iris pattern is produced. A bright iris color pattern is developed against the iris luster based on the principle of the reflection type interferential filter and can be used for labelling, advertising boards, building material and table tops, while a long-sized film molding may be used as a string by finely splitting. Thus, there is a wide range of usage.
