Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve total braking effect while maintaining the stability of the braking effect which is the characteristic of the disk brake by using the drum brake as the servo brake of the disk brake.
CONSTITUTION: When applying the frictional force to the rotor part of the disk rotor to rotate the friction pad 2 by pressing by operating the oil hydraulic pressure cylinder 3 of the diskbrake, the friction pad 2 gets the braking torque of the disk rotor. The braking torque is conveyed to the cam 7 of the drum brake through the torque receiver 6, and the brake shoe 8 is pressed against the drum part 13 of the disk rotor while extending the shoe-return spring 9 by the rotation of the cam 7 to give the frictional force to the drum part 13. By doing so, the shortage in the braking effect of the disk brake can be made up by the drum brake as the servo brake.
