PURPOSE:To prevent starch particle attachment to a thermal head by using etherified starch for pasting heat-sensitive recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A support made of synthetic resin film, paper, and woven cloth sheet is coated with the smaller particles than 5mu which particles are produced by atomizing a normally-transparent or light-coloured colour-forming lactonic compound, a phenolic material, a sensitizer, and wax, using a surface activator, by means of a crusher such as ball mill. Oxidized starch or starch phosphate attaches to a thermal head if it is used as non-heat-melting adhesive as conventionally. Therefore, 10-100% by weight of etherized starch is mixed in adhesive. Thereby, melted material does not attach to the head so that the fall of printing quality due to the covering or scratch of prints with or by the particles can be prevented.
