Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the fluctuation in the torque of an internal combustion engine, by moving a magnetism-generating electroconductive member in connection with the crankshaft of the engine to cause a magnetic torque of inverse phase to the torque fluctuation of the crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 12 is mounted on the crankshaft 11 of the internal combustion engine 10. A magnetic flux generator 13 consisting of a solenoid 13a and a yoke 13b is provided near the peripheral part of the flywheel 12. The magnetic flux generator 13 is regulated by a control circuit 14 to which an ignition signal 16 and an intake negative pressure signal 17 are applied. When the torque of the crankshaft 11 fluctuates, the solenoid 13a is energized to cause the magnetic torque of inverse phase to the fluctuation to suppress it.
