Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce exhaution of HC component of fuel by distributing air-rich fuel-air mixture to the inner wall of a combustion chamber to prevent the adhesion of the fuel on the wall surface with a double-walled suction pipe having a passage for the fuel-air mixture and a passage for air.
CONSTITUTION: A suction port opening to a combustion chamber 5 is consisted of an inner suction port 4 and an outer suction port 6 combined in a double-walled construction. A suction pipe 3 provided with a carbureter 2 is connected to the inner suction port 4 to introduce fuel-air mixture to the combustion chamber. A suction pipe 7 by-passing the carbureter 2 is connected to the outer suction port 6 to introduce chiefly air into the combustion chamber. Accordingly, the fuel-air mixture flow introduced into the combustion chamber 5 through a suction valve 8 is wrapped by air so that fuel particles are less liable to adhere to the wall surface of the combustion chamber.
