Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the strength of the sleeve by using material of high hardness as an outer layer and rigid material as an inner layer and integrally molding these through centrifugal casting. CONSTITUTION:A centrifugal casting method is employed as a casting means of the sleeve. The outer layer of the sleeve is required to have abrasion resistance and this necessitates material of high hardness and therefore molten steel of a high carbon amount (C; 1.3 to 2.0%, Si; 0.3 to 1.0%, Mn; 0.3 to 1.0%, Ni; 0.5 to 2.0%, Cr; 1.0 to 3.0%, Mo; 0.3 to 1.0%) is poured in casting molds first to mold the first layer 21. Immediate before the inner surface hardens, the molten steel of a low carbon amount (C; 0.6 to 1.0%, Si; 0.3 to 1.0%, Mn; 0.3 to 1.0%, Ni; 0.5% or under, Cr; 0.5% or under, Mo; 0.5% or under) for forming the second layer 22 is poured in the casting molds.
