Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the proper cleaning work and thus to increase the working efficiency by detecting the light volume change caused by the soil at the optical path forming part of the optical detection system and then a comparison is given between the detection signal and the reference signal to control the cleaning cycle at the optical path formation part. CONSTITUTION:Piston 36 is lowered down to the area of lower side H than the optical paths of projector 33 and receiver 34 is order to measure the soil of transparent inner cylinder 30 of the measurement tube. Thus the light sent from projector 33 enters receiver 34 via the sludge water. This measurement signal is compared with the reference signal sent from reference value setting circuit 43, and the cleaning cyclic signals are cleassified into (a)-(e) according to what signal level of the straight line (b) the difference signal is positioned at. Arithmetic circuit 45 supplies the cleaning end signal to control circuit 46 via the difference signal of comparator circuit 44 and also gives adjustment to the cleaning cycles of timer part 48 like (a)-(e) in accordance with the scale of the difference signal. In this way, the proper cleaning is given to increase the working efficiency.
