Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the thermal efficiency of engine by covering the heating pipe made of heat-resisting metal with a pipe of non-metal material such as ceramics to make the heating pipe have aheat-resisting property and by raising the temperature of the whole pipe without a local overheating.
CONSTITUTION: In the heating part of stirring engine, for example, many heating pipes 5, each of which combines the cylinder head 3 of displacer with the heat accumulator head 4, are circularly arraned and placed in the furnace 2 to heat themselves by the burner 1. A part of or the whole of the heating pipe is covered with a ceramic pipe 6 I.D. of which is greater than O.D. of the heating pipe. In this way, the heating pipe is not exposed to flame or burning gas since it is protected by the ceramic pipe which has an excellent heat-resisting and adiabatic natures. Thus a local overheating and corrosion of the surface of heating pipe can be reduced.
